dc.description.abstract | We present the processes of manufacturing, assembling and operating a solar box-type oven, whose main characteristic is the possibility of baking several foods simultaneously. The solar oven baking room was manufactured using naval compensator (box), aluminum plate (absorber tray), transparent flat glass (cover) and EPS (thermal insulation). For the concentration of the direct solar radiation inside the furnace a heliostat (1.5 m²) was used, with a wooden structure and flat mirrors. Tests were conducted out to determine the temperatures of the absorber and air inside the baking room and for the baking of various types of food. The results of the tests demonstrated the feasibility of using the studied solar oven, which can be used by poor communities such as a mini-factory of baked goods, such as pizzas, cakes and breaded. | |
