Resumen
The teacher plays an important role in the life of its students as mediator of knowledge, however, sometimes in its trajectory it finds children with learning difficulties. In view of this situation, we propose a reflection. Thus, the present work has the general objective to reflect on the practices developed by the teachers to identify the learning difficulties of the students. The specific objectives were: to analyze the contributions of the teacher-student relationship in the teaching-learning process; understand the definition of learning difficulties; identify which strategies the teacher uses to identify the difficulties of the students and relate the references that subsidize their choices. The methodology was characterized as having a qualitative character, whose subjects were teachers of the municipal public network of the city of Caicó, who teach from the 1st to the 5th year of elementary school. In the results, it was verified that, in order to arrive at a diagnosis of students with learning difficulties, observations, surveys and conversations with them and families are carried out, however, a relevant factor for diagnosis and coexistence is highlighted. element closely related to affectivity. Based on the above, it is important to emphasize that, not always learning difficulties are directly related to some disorder or disorder that makes it impossible for the child to develop, but rather in the way the teacher teaches, his lesson plans and objectives, the teaching methods and strategies used by the same in the classroom, among other aspects.
