This work investigated factors related to the information needs of nursing students and professionals in wound care. A quantitative descriptive survey was carried out with an online questionnaire between January and February 2020. We obtained results from almost all Brazilian states. The participants’ profile was compared with their information needs on patient's health and on wound. Needs vary between regions and states, but are similar between similar sized cities. Training, experience and frequency of wound care attendance tend to increase the information needs. Similar workplaces have similar needs. Use of devices tends to increase the information needs in a certain order. Knowledge about wound care seems to be the main factor related to the information needs.
