dc.description.abstractThe objective of this work was sintered and characterizer the alpha-alumina and a structured oxide based on lanthanum an alumina by microwaves-assisted-combustion. By the other hand, another objective is obtain a mixture of zirconium alumina as a solid composite prepared by high-energy ball milling (HEBM), and to use this oxide (powders) and solid composite for internal and external metallic pipe coating and accessories used for gas and petroleum transportation. The preparation ceramics composite of alumina compound doped was prepared by microwaves-assisted-combustion using urea as reduction agent. Already was prepared by high-energy ball milling (HEBM) with 15 wt.% zirconium on the alumina ceramic matrix. Posteriorly the materials was calcined at 900 oC/2h with a 10 °C/min heating rate for restructured the materials on the muffle furnace type. The powders obtained was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis (DTA), porous size distribution (BJH) and surface area analysis by Brunauer-Emmet-Teller method (BET). The diffraction patterns demonstrated that materials crystallite size grow up with the calcined at 900 oC/2h and the scanning electron microscopy demonstrated that materials has a significant porosity and that zircon oxide deposited on the alumina matrix uniform. The thermal gravimetric curves confirm the thermal stability of materials owed the insignificant mass loss at maxim calcined temperature realized at this work. This characterization resulted to indicate the use this materials for coating metallic pipe of the petroleum industry.
