dc.description.abstractThis article purpose is to show the children’s contribution in drawings as a way to offer many opportunities for learning, contributing for the reading and writing acquisition and children’s development. For this study it was necessary, based on the qualitative approach research comes education, a bibliographical research through a literature review, and for that, we had as guiding factors: Piaget (2004), Freire (1996), Sans , Moreira (1983), Luquet (1969), Ferreira (2005), among others that anchored us in the approaches on the subject. Therefore, we discuss some relevant points about the use children's drawing in the literacy process, directed in the school in the good way, develops the different languages of the child in this period. We also present the meaning of drawing for the child and the importance in children's drawing in literacy. In addition, we show the child's drawing as a graphic and artistic language and it contributes significantly to the language and writing construction, as well, to assist in the motor coordination child, especially in literacy, revealing the free manifestation to the child, designed without use models and according to their development in the graphics phases.
