Resumen
This article aims to present a reflection about the impasses and the advances in the pedagogical work developed in the classes of the 2nd and 3rd period of Education of Young and Adults - EJA of the Edinor Avelino Municipal School, considering the specificities of the students of this modality, different pedagogical demands due to the age diversity of the students of the same class. Thus, it is intended to reflect on the curricular organization in relation to the interests of the students, the methodologies and activities more interesting and meaningful in the view of the students. To achieve this goal, the following procedures were carried out: a qualitative field research was developed, bibliographic research, interview with teachers and application of a questionnaire to the students. In addition to this data collection, documentary sources with legal bases were used, such as: Guidelines and Bases of National Education - LDB (1996), and The Rio Grande do Norte Education Plan (2015-2025). The research was developed at the Municipal School Edinor Avelino, located in Macau - RN, with the two classes of EJA of the 2nd and 3rd periods. From the studies carried out, it is concluded that it is necessary for the school to rethink its curriculum in order to better attend to the singularity of its students, which forces it to a partnership with the students themselves (since these are the most interested in the curriculum), so that the institution can achieve its educational objectives.
