Literatura infantil:um estudo exploratório sobre obras de escritoras e escritores do Rio Grande do Norte

Abstract

This study presents the characterization of the production of children's literature published in books by writers from Rio Grande do Norte, in the last ten years. The research is qualitative in nature, being categorized as an exploratory study, using the publishers' websites as a data source. To support the work, we resorted to discussions of children's literature and books for children and infancy (AMARILHA, 2000; COELHO, 2000; LAJOLO E ZILBERMAN, 2017; ZILBERMAN, 2003). The publishing market aimed at the production of Children's Literature books by writers from RN is representative in terms of quantity, but there are minimally enough studies on these productions and authorships. Therefore, this research becomes relevant, as a way to provide initial elements to be improved by other researchers, and preliminary information on the subject for interested professors. The results, found through the research, point to the existence of 31 works of Children's Literature produced by 16 writers from RN, 10 women and 6 men, published by 10 publishers, in the period between 2012 and 2021. The data revealed a thematic diversity present in the works, as well as a variety of text structures, in verse and prose, belonging to different genres.
