Resumen
The constant search for the values of efficiency and quality in the provision
of services is a reality today. The Project Management area is recognized as one of
the auxiliary forms of an organization to achieve its strategic objectives, having been
effective in executing the results and the employment opportunities. Techniques are
emerging for a project management technique, including visual tools. In this perspective,
this work presents a use of a visual technique based on canvas - Life Cycle Canvas
- for a directive on the use of Project Management practices in an IFES. The study
was carried out in a collaborative way to reduce this gap by answering an important
topic: How is a data management technique for the monitoring and control of a Federal
Institution of Higher Education (IFES)? The response to the query was collected as to
its methodological approach, descriptive with its targets and qualitative as to its nature.
PMBOK (2017) was identified and analyzed in light of the Life Cycle Canvas technique
(VERAS, 2017). The results show that project monitoring and control are essential for
the evaluation of the projects managed by the infrastructure sector in the research of
the research institution, since the perception of the interviewees, corroborated by the
data, is an event that may hinder their execution. Thus, the use of project management
practices in the Ciclo de Vida Lona technique can be effectively contributed to the
management of the projects mentioned.
