Resumen
This study presents a brief discussion about gender and sexuality relations at school. It aims to discuss the issue of gender and sexual diversity, contextualizing this theme in the context of education, from a post-critical perspective of the school curriculum. The methodology for the construction of this study was based on bibliographic research, of the analytical-descriptive type, based on the theoretical foundation of the concept of gender in the view of Joan Scott, Judith Butler, and Guacira Louro, in the studies of women from the point of view of Perrot, in addition to also working on the non-sexist education of Maria Eulina Carvalho and the repression of sexuality according to Foucault. The theoretical framework also includes the authors’ Bobbitt, Michael Apple, and Paulo Freire, and their ideas and thoughts concerning the curriculum, their theorizations, and reach school. It is concluded that the current curriculum in schools has limitations regarding the themes related to gender relations and sexual diversity because there is a restriction in the teacher education of professionals who have difficulty in dealing with this issue, and therefore, their practice is not directed to debate about Gender and heteronormativity, tending to perpetuate in the school environment, which may contribute to the conduct of these paradigms during all phases of life.
