O Turismo de aventura como alternativa e tendência: um estudo na região do Seridó Potiguar-RN

Abstract

The present work has as its central theme the analysis of the profile and characteristics of Adventure Tourism in the current scenario of the covid-19 pandemic, as well as this segment favors the safe, sustainable and orderly growth of tourism, and aims to analyze and map the potentialities of this segment in the Seridó Potiguar region, in addition to identifying the profile of public and private managers and characterizing the perception of both about the development of the activity in the region. The methodology used was the case study with a qualitative and exploratory approach, with data collection through interviews with public and private managers in the region, about tourism and the segmentation of adventure in Seridó. The results indicate that Adventure Tourism has a lot of potential to be practiced in the Seridó region of RN, but it is not a priority activity to be worked on in the locality and does not have all the necessary resources to reduce the risks that this segmentation presents.
