dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The lumbar can have a fundamental role from the region to the proximal portion of our body mobility, as the issues related to mobility, often change its structures and often disabling pain, popularly known as in the back. They can be severe chronic – when it has a few days, or chronic hours – it has a time of days. Such pains often incapacitate the individual in a way that hinders their entire quality of life, generating seclusion and even depression, causing people to seek alternative treatments for pain. Physiotherapy includes very well the treatment of pain and lumbar dysfunctions, rehabilitating and treating its functionality again by conservatives, even the use of auriculotherapy through TCM. Auriculotherapy enters the field of research in several areas, but despite being an ancient technique, there are few and little evidences are all our pain treatments. The conduct with auriculotherapy helps to improve and contributes to the quality of life of patients, since it is a non-invasive technique, with quick, safe and easy access. Objective: The study in question aims to prove the effects of Auriculotherapy in the treatment of chronic low back pain, as well as the influence of these effects on the quality of life of patients. Methodology: The case study presents a collection of 10 patients, with analysis performed from absolute values collected in 5 weeks. Evaluation sheets were applied in all sessions to extract the level of pain and quality of life, to compare the beginning and end of the process. Result: A considerable improvement in low back pain and quality of life of participants was observed, reduction of 68.05% in low back pain and 172.72% in quality of life at the end of 5 weeks. Conclusion: It is possible to add auriculotherapy to physiotherapists' procedures, since it has proved to be a very efficient, practical, non-invasive and easily accessible technique, considerably reducing low back pain and improving the quality of life of patients, however, more studies are needed. with a larger number of participants to better support the technique and prove its scientific effectiveness.
