Stellar radial velocity method has been used since the descovery of the earliest exoplanets. This method has been very successful in the obtention of exoplanets’ orbital parameters, such as, for exemple, the orbital eccentricity, the translational period, the planet’s mass relation, the periastron distance, among others. The analysis of radial velocity data has various problems due to its mathematical function, that is highly non-linear and multimodal. For parameter inference, adequated statistical methods are required, in the analysis of these datas. In this work, the development of algorithms allows the performance of statistical inference. The inference methods used are the minimum 2 method, Markov Chain Monte Carlo method and the Nested Sampling. Each method is studied by simulating data, with noise addition, and applying these methods to two cases: a linear equation and sinusoidal functions. Finally, the statistical methods are applied in the case of the stellar radial velocity, by using the HD 187085 star’s data, aiming to determine the efficiency of such methods, by comparing the results with previously obtained results in literature.
