dc.description.abstractTourist destinations that explore natural and cultural attractions and offer differentiated experiences to visitors have been conquering a large space in the tourist market and awakening an increasing awareness. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the ethnic experience offered by the historic and ecological site Gamboa do Jaguaribe / RN as a component of tourist attractiveness in the city of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The research is characterized as exploratory-descriptive, with a qualitative approach. Data collection took place from on-site observation in Gamboa do Jaguaribe, making use of semi-structured interviews with one of the creators of the place. Bibliographical research related to the theme was also carried out. The information collected was analyzed through a cross SWOT analysis, applying the results to the marketing mix of Gamboa do Jaguaribe. The research concludes that there is market potential for the ethnic product of Gamboa do Jaguaribe, RN.
