dc.description.abstractThe referred work of term paper consist of a Study for the Elaboration of an Installation Manual for greywater reuse in residential buildings, which has as theoretical references: scientific article, doctorate theses, dissertatins, final course assignment, regulatins, manuals and books. The manual was elaborated of didactic way and based on a greywater reuse project designed by the author of this work, for a multi-family residential building of 25th floors in the city of Natal, RN. The greywater reuse Project developed consists in the collection of effluents from drains of the bathing areas and sinks, lead them through specific sewage pipes up to the treatment system, and then to lead the treated effluents up to the reservoirs for supplying the toilets. This system consists, mainly, of biological processes that will occur through the use of upflow anaerobic filter and constructed Wetlands, which have a good removal of dissolved organic matter. The manual contains all the instructions for the sizing of a greywater reuse system, that is: the collection pipes and effluent treatment (suggested system), the treated greywater distribution pipes and the signs that the reuse system must contain to differentiate if from the others installations in the building. It’s important to take into consideration that, in order to obtrain an adequate and safe reuse system, it’s indispensable to follow some regulations. Thus, in the referred work, was used ABNT NBR 16783:2019 standard to get the parameters that the treated effluents should to have, for example: color of the non-potable water piping, signs of the points of use non-potable water, feed reversal system with potable water. Thus, with the elaboration of the greywater reuse project, on which the Installation Manual for Greywater Reuse in Residential Buildings is based, it was possible to quantify and budget the new system, being determined the economy of potable water and the reduction of sewage. This, with the purpose of performing an economic feasibility analysis of the implementation of the greywater reuse system through of the Period Return of Investiment Period Method – Payback. With this study, obtained a Payback de 1 year and 9 months, with a monthly reduction in the water and sewage bill of R$ 3,194.572.
