Resumen
This essay is an endeavor that seeks to primarily analyse the concepts of ideology and autonomy, while taking as a subject of study the three Matrix movies sequel. For this purpose, the meanings of the elements featured in the simulated word, entitled as the matrix, will be adressed in order to raise understandings around the meanings of the concepts of ideology, autonomy, heteronomy and some notions of freedom existing in theories as much as in strutural systems of social life. The analyses from Marx, Alípio DeSousa, Morin, Castoriadis, Bourdieu and Passeron have been used as the main theoretical framework. From these propositions, there can be found similitudes between the matrix and the ideology in its aspects of self-defense; also there could be seen similarities in the economic, political and social development compared to a projection of continuous revolutions, leading to a communist society that would exclude opposing discourses. Parting from this point, the debate conveys to the possibility or impossibility of completely excluding other’s discourses from the individuals, as to empty the external discourses. The aim is to perceive if the subjects do or do not coexist, for instance: revolution and conservation, autonomy and heteronomy, men and machines, through the theoretical observation of the movies and of the humane structures of life. At last, the choice of the movie as a subject of study is questioned, as well as its importance in analysing, discussing and reflecting over society and what is within it.
