dc.description.abstractIn the petroleum industry, the oilfield produced water represents 98% of the wastewater generated. This article studies the utilization of photo-Fenton process to reduce the toxicity of these effluents through the oxidizing of organic compounds. This process has as great advantage a low residual charge generated and the low costs through the use of solar reactors. The results show the viability of study the application of this process for the treatment of the oilfield produced waters. The analysis of the water treated reveals that this water presents acceptable levels for the use in the agriculture (irrigation)
