dc.description.abstractThis work deals with the musical theater as a pedagogical tool used in training classes with young people. The experiment took place within the supervised stage IV, held in the Escola Estadual Desembargador Floriano Cavalcanti - Floca with 9th graders C the morning shift. Among one of the activities occurring in the classes, a musical was created and assembled from the collaborative process. The musical was presented in Floca auditorium for students from different school classes. Due to the success of the stages of creation and presentation of the musical was possible to see the success of the musical theater as a pedagogical tool for music education in the basic education to the youth of this class, which brought interesting artistic results and also gave young people the motivation to participate in their own teaching and learning. The methodology was used in Experience Report format for writing this monograph
