Resumen
The sun is the main energy matrix of the planet, being directly or indirectly responsible for all other sources of energy that are used by humans. In the oil industry, specifically in the enhanced oil recovery with the injection of steam, there is little mention of the use of systems that use renewable energy as an alternative to cheapen the production process, mainly due to the high energy demand associated with the fluid heating processes for steam generation. This work aims to present different types of collectors and solar concentrators that can be adapted to the temperatures and the injection volumes of the reservoirs with characteristics of the Brazilian northeast. For the above reasons, comparing results of projects carried out in other regions of the world with a possible application in the Potiguar basin, it was possible to conclude that parabolic-cylindrical concentrators and solar towers present volumetric and energetic potential to partially replace the use of boilers in production of steam.
