Patologias construtivas em revestimentos de fachada

Abstract

The evolution of civil construction since its emergence is notorious, both in the development of the materials used, the construction processes and the techniques employed. In this context, facade cladding systems play an essential role in the aesthetics and technique of buildings. However, facades are the areas most exposed to the weather and, consequently, the most susceptible to the emergence of constructive pathologies, which affect their performance and, in more severe cases, cause accidents. For the most part, these anomalies are related to problems that can be avoided, such as project inefficiency, poor material quality and service delivery failures. Thus, the study of the most recurrent pathological manifestations is essential to understand their causes, origins and consequences and thus to avoid the occurrence as well as contributing to the best ways of recovery.
