All over the world, there are petroleum reservoirs holding heavy oils within, which increases the necessity to invest and to discover means to extract this oil in order to be able to use it on the oil industry. Originally these reservoirs are stimulated to produce with their own energy. This fact is called primary production, when there is no outside energy stimulating the production. As the time passes this energy starts to deplete. To maintain this production profitable, it is important to analyze some recovery methods, aiming to increase the well productivity life. Heavy oils own high viscosities in the reservoir conditions, which makes it unable to flow easily. To produce this oil types is necessary to use supplementary recovery methods, among these methods, one of the most widely used is the thermal method. This method operates through steam injection, aiming to increase the oil temperature to reduce the viscosity, improving the flow. The purpose of this study is to analyze the continuous steam injection in these reservoirs, working with horizontal e vertical wells, both injectors and producers. Therefore, it was created through the Winprop and the Builder of CMG (Computer Modelling Group) a fluid model and a reservoir. Among the studied configurations, the finest result came from the configuration with 10 injector wells drilled vertically and 2 producer wells drilled horizontally. The recovery factor was 31%. Nevertheless, to know if the Project is viable it is mandatory to conduct some economic analysis.
