When flowing wells no longer have enough energy to lift the reservoir fluids to the surface, the artificial lift methods are used. Lifting systems Continuous Gas-Lift are used in onshore wells and subsea environments, due to its robustness, simplicity and ability to operate the wide rates range. This method consists of continuous injection of gas at a certain point in the production tubing, causing the flow pressure in the well bottom to decrease and the production rates increase. In order to maintain the well operating by Gas-Lift in optimum operating conditions, electronic controllers have been used to make adjustments in some parameters and optimize the gas injection. In this work, a PI-fuzzy controller to manage the gas injection choke opening was developed in the Continuous Gas-Lift method in order to increase the production rates, having its star of operation after the discharge operation of the well. To validate the control, it was integrated into the code of a dynamic simulation software for wells operating by GLC, the TraceLiftLaut, and tested the tool with field data. Thus, it was possible to perform tree tests, each with different casing pressure limits, and it was verified that the control was efficient by increasing the rates production and decreasing the amount of injected gas when compared to the well operating without control.
