Abordagens em música na educação básica: sugestões baseadas nas ideias de Murray Schafer

Abstract

The following work aims to discuss methodological approaches in basic education based on the ideas of Raymond Murray Schafer. We witnessed a brief summary of the importance of music as a whole for human beings and society, in addition to debating traditional thinking and the thought of what music education is. All this analysis was driven by the work of Schafer, showing us the intentions and contemplations that are implied in their way of teaching. Finally, it is expected that this production will help the music teacher in regular schools, in considering the insertion of Schafer's suggestions in their teaching methodologies, providing a deepening of their own ideas and pedagogical practices.
