Resumen
The aim of this study is to understand the career aspirations of generation Z from the perspective of its members and HR managers by understanding the career context in the companies interviewed, verifying the adaptation of new people management processes to cover the behavioral needs of the new generation, understanding and analyzing the career and work expectations of the young people of generation Z and finally investigating the perception of the managers of organizations about the characteristics of generation Z. To this end, the chosen methodology had exploratory purpose with A qualitative approach was made through semi-structured interview procedures, conducted with HR managers in companies chosen by convenience and focus group, with young representatives of generation Z. With this objective, the results showed that, besides this theme having a very scarce coverage in Brazil, the reality of companies This is a little distant from the aspirations of generation Z, and sometimes having a polarized view of understanding success and career. For this, some suggestions were proposed for companies to follow. Thus, it is expected that this study will become useful for companies and scientifically speaking for career and generation Z research.
