Compreendendo os caminhos da formação musical: notas sobre música e histórias de alunos da Banda Marcial dos Programas Sociais (BAMAPS) – Tangará/RN.

Abstract

This year-end work is about an investigation about the Martial Band of Social Programs - BAMAPS - of the city of Tangará/RN, whose objective was to understand the process of musicalization and by what musical formats BAMAPS has already passed, indicating some points important in the process of musical and socio-cultural formation in the lives of students and the Tangara community. The methodology used for data collection was narrative interviews, via the Internet and face-to-face interviews, aiming at the qualitative approach. Data were collected through veteran students/musicians who are still part of BAMAPS. In this research, it was possible to conclude that the band has the purpose not only to train musicians for artistic presentations, but also to include the individual in society, through collective practices and human relations. The final considerations point to the importance of the existence of a music band within the social and educational field of children and adolescents, as well as the need for more detailed research on the process of musicalization given to these youngsters, higher, speakingly speaking.
