A prática coral no Curso de Iniciação Artística da Escola de Música da UFRN: um relato de experiência

Abstract

The objective of this work was to present the Choir Practice teaching methodologies of Curso de Iniciação Artística – CIART – School of Music of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte – UFRN, that during the second semester of 2011 developed a musicalization work, with children between eight and nine years old approximately, through the preparation of a concert that took place in the end of that year. The main theme of the semester was “Playing Like in the Old Days”. Willing to increase the knowledge of Choir Practice, I made a research inside the area, on historical aspects of Musical Education, Chamber Choir and made observations and notes on classes procedures and construction of CIART’s Choir Practice. Methodologies of educators like Willems, Fonterrada and Zander were consulted, reflecting aspects of this work. The results showed that the social development among the students, the organization inside the classroom, an adequate vocal behavior and the team work of the teachers cooperated for the development of the activities. Besides all this, CIART’s recital brought compliments and applauses. And finally, I evaluated the CIART Choir Practice and what I learned with this monograph.
