Resumen
In the past few years, Distance Education has been presenting significant growth and,
consequently, the current circumstances demand improvements in terms of intuitive elearning
platforms and concerning operational processes, such as production of educational
resources. In this context, AVASUS - Virtual Learning Environment of the Brazilian Unified
Health System - aims at improving the qualification and training of professionals and
students, management and assistance in the Brazilian Unified Health System - SUS,
promoting integrated and accessible knowledge in healthcare education. The objective of this
dissertation is to develop a model of evaluation and monitoring of the processes of production
of courses for Virtual Learning Environments, implementing it in AVASUS. This work is
presented as an applied qualitative-quantitative exploratory research, by means of an action
research and a single case study on AVASUS, by which the author mapped processes of
content creation, as well as elaborated and implemented a proposed model. Thus, applying the
proposed model, some positive impacts were observed, such as: optimization of content
creation processes, allowing that other virtual learning environments could replicate the
methodology; Optimization of operational control; Improvements in the AVASUS quality
control, also benefiting other similar programs; and finally, bolstering research over
Operations Management and content creation for Distance Education.
