Resumen
This paper deals with an assessment of changes in two climatic variables of two reserve areas located in the Potiguar Basin region, in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, the Açu National Forest and the Ponta do Tubarão Sustainable Development Reserve. The objective of this work is to understand the relationship between the different forms of energy exploration, renewable and nonrenewable, and variations in albedo and surface temperature in the analyzed areas, taking into account also the different geosystems and geo - factors that make up the Potiguar Basin. The methods used are based on data produced by remote sensing based on GEObia (GEOgraphicObject-Based Image Analysis) technique and crossing with physical data pre-existing in the study area. The results indicate that there are changes in the reserve areas, related to the exploitation of biomass, oil exploitation and production of electricity based on wind farms. The characteristics of the observed geosystems present sectors with high natural indices of albedo, and in many of them were identified tendencies of significant increase of the indexes analyzed, being able to be considered preponderant for the expansion of the classified areas in process of desertification, since it is one of the few areas of the world with connection between coastal strips with semi-arid climate
