dc.description.abstractThe teaching of fighting (Martial Arts/Wrestling) in PE (Physical Education) in schools is a great challenge. Having that in mind, this work seeks to show methodological strategies based on interventions carried out by the scholarship holders in the Institutional Program of the Initiation to Teaching Grant - PIBID / Physical Education / UFRN (Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte), specifically at Berilo Wanderley State School. The interventions occurred in this High School (Berilo Wanderley State School) in two classes, one of the First Grade and another of the Second Grade. Identifying the difficulties usually faced by PE (Physical Education teachers), the present Course Completion Work (TCC) exemplifies viable possibilities for teaching fighting (Martial Arts/Wrestling) in schools. The method used in this study was research and the applied actions, in which the planning and application of the classes took place with the help of the PIBID body of Supervisor Teacher, along with other PE (Physical Education) scholarship holders in the mentioned school. The data collected from field journals, photographs and reports of students and reports of the Supervisor Teacher and PIBID scholarship holders. It was possible to notice that from simple strategies, it is possible to give classes with this type of content, fighting teaching classes (Martial Arts/Wrestling/Fighting) in school context, and the teaching of its content is not restricted to teachers who have a certain amount of theoretical / methodological knowledge in the area of fighting (Martial Arts/Wrestling).
