Resumen
Worldwide energy demand increase has been taking petroleum production in the world to a recently new level of exploration, the unconventional reservoirs. Tight gas is an example of this kind of unconventional reservoirs, it refers to sandstone fields with low porosity and permeability which accumulates considerable amounts of natural gas. These reservoirs do not produce naturally at economic rates, therefore, the use of advanced techniques is needed, as hydraulic fracturing stimulation, for example. In this paper, the hydraulic fracturing method was applied in order to analyze the influence of fracture parameters in gas recovery and to select the model of better viability from the technical-economic analysis. The studies were conducted through simulations implemented in modules of CMG software (Computer Modelling Group), version 2014.10. A reservoir model with similar petrological characteristics of Parana basin was developed to analyze the production from this kind of reservoir. The fluid model is a gas condensate. It was conducted a study comparing some dimensional fracture configurations in order to increase the operational efficiency of the method. The length of fractures, fractures height and amount of fractures were the analyzed parameters, all presenting a positive result, increasing the final gas recovery. The model of 9 fractures with the largest dimensions showed the better economic viability of the study.
