dc.description.abstractThe theme of this monograph proposes itself to seek sources that settle music as a constructive element for the human being. In this paper we address briefly in the history of music teaching during the XX century in Brazil. We direct our investigations quoting contemporary authors, who dedicate their lives to learn, comprehend and create means of extending knowledge through music. We also created a questionnaire that was applied to the students’ parents of the referred course which objective was to strength our affirmations. We searched to deliver the layer a delightful and safe material where he would feel involved, walking through the observations and reflections we did. Finally with a personal report, linking the facts to the theoretical references. Here we want to show that it’s valid and legitimate the fight for insertion of music into education, and that the old idea that music would not take anybody anywhere is in truth, lack of knowledge of reality. In the methodology we present how the work was developed, which were our challenges and findings and how we developed the report. Finally we exposed our final considerations to reach the exercise of reflection and the pursuing of information exposed here. We wish to contribute meaningfully so that the reader might participate, delighting himself and understanding how the musicalization process happens.
