Resumen
A functional mobility consists of movements associated with or functional balance and non-daily use, such as, for example, getting up and walking at a comfortable or semi-auxiliary pace of an instrument. The objective of this research was to analyze an association between a body composition and a functional mobilization of two sexes of both sexes, residents of Natal / RN, which is part of the International Mobility in Aging Study - IMIAS Brazil. A guarantee of mobility is carried out by means of the Short Physical Performance Battery - SPPB scale, which measures the mobility through the performance of three tests where I estimated the balance, the walking speed and the muscular structure of the individual. Score <8 features reduced mobility. To verify body composition, the bioelectric profile was performed, which included the analysis of phase angle, lean mass percentage and fat mass percentage. As varied sociodemographic analyzed there was sex, age range, schooling and monthly income. To verify the association between a functional mobility and body composition, it was used in Pearson's chi-squared test. It was included 169 people were not present, where the proportion of
female sex was higher (51.5%), with a higher percentage of excess weight (56.5%). Our choose of SPPB test was the same for both sexes. Among the associates of the SPPB and the percentage of lean mass and fat, it was observed higher values among the weightiest. In response to the reduction in mobility of the population, it was populated by a study of 17.5%. It was concluded that there is an association between the bioelectric profile and the reduction of functional mobility of the elderly.
