dc.description.abstractThis paper presents an experience report of a substitute teacher of music in two elementary schools in Natal - RN and Parnamirim - RN. The music class presented a proposal focused on the collective teaching of the instrument (guitar), in classes with Elementary School students I, II and High School. The reported study aims to reflect on the performance of the substitute teacher in the teaching-learning practice of Music in the classroom in Basic Education. Specifically, reflect on his impressions as substitute teacher in the school, resolutions of situations in delicate moments during the teaching performance, report the contributions for his experience as substitute teacher of Music in schools of Basic Education. Also described are the reactions and inquiries of the students when receiving a substitute teacher in the classroom, the teaching and learning of Music through the teaching of guitar, and the search for adaptations and resolutions to provide pleasant and productive classes. An evaluation of the practices as a result of the work developed in the school is presented, the impacts provided through the classes in the room of the most different classes. This work is concluded, passing through the "look" and understanding of the substitute teacher in basic education, the relations built as a result of the experience developed during the performance in the schools.
