Resumen
Focuses on the Banda School Project municipality of Taipu / RN. Aims seeks to
demonstrate how is the process of teaching and learning music in a social project that works
with the band instrument teaching and what influence this process has on the lives of those
involved. The methodology uses the case study, and as a research tool to exploratory research
with the use of questionnaires, semi-structured interviews and participant observation. Thus, it
was possible to analyze and highlight the Band School Project, although little uptime, has
shown positive influence on musical education and lives of the majority of the students
involved. From this work, it was possible to realize the relevance of Banda School project in
the lives of those involved, as well as the socio-cultural and musical development.
