dc.description.abstractThe quality of the continental waters is applied in the biogeochemicals, the characteristics of the hydrographic basin, the use and the soil occupation. The qualitative degradation of this resource is caused by pollutants released from various sources in a punctual and diffuse way in the watershed . In order to decelerate the watershed contamination , structural and / or structuring interventions are necessary, aiming at the environmental protection in the watershed in a directed way, being thus applied in the regions of greater environmental vulnerability. The main objective of this work is to define an zoning (PPP) for the groundwater protection in the Maxaranguape watershed, in view of the National Mining Agency (ANM) Directive. For this, the calculated fixed radius methodology was used to determine the Influence Zone and the Wyssling Method to define the Transport Zone that in this work was divided into alert zone and remediation zone. Considering the results obtained, the Influence Zone presented a radius of 315m for explotation flows of 120m³ / h. The alert zone was estimated to be 238m away from the wellhead and the 1947,26 m remediation zone. Through the land use discipline, the delineation of well protection zones is presented as a prevention tool whose purpose is to preserve the groundwater quality. Once the zoning associated with the parameters required by National Mining Agency (ANM) Directive n°. 238/1998 has been implemented, the aquifer will become less susceptible to anthropogenic contamination and the water sources will be safer from the environmental viewpoint.
