Taxa de geração de viagens em condomínios residenciais verticais – Realização de um estudo empírico em Natal, RN

Abstract

The accelerated growth of Brazilian urban centers lacks the appropriate technical and managerial tools to make it sustainable. In regards to the land use, studies concerning the Trip Generating Poles deserve special attention, in order to take the greatest amount of environmental benefits possible from their construction. The present work aims to establish the trip generation mathematical model of vertical residential multifamily buildings with more than 50 housing units. In order to achieve this, data from 10 buildings from two neighborhoods of Natal, RN were collected and analyzed. Concerning the regressions, the best results were obtained using the occupied housing units as explanatory variable, in the form of linear and logarithmic regressions. Furthermore, despite similar demographic and sampling conditions, a more detailed analysis of each neighborhood points the need of considering other factors that characterize the urban environment in which the sample is inserted to generate better models.
