dc.description.abstractElectronic management of internal combustion engines is an effective and advanced control system that aims to keep fuel emission pollutant levels within the standards required by environmental legislation and to maintain the engines performance levels. This paper presents the main components and characteristics of an electronic management system of an Otto-cycle internal combustion engine of a Chevrolet Astra Comfort Hatch 2.0-liter OHC engine, flexpower, 2005/2006 year / model, with injection multi-point, describing the control modes and comparing their operating parameters with the readings obtained through the DM 2090-P OBDII Scanner (On-Board Diagnosis), which will serve as an analysis tool for work and research involving improved performance of automotive engines. The paper concluded, by comparing the measurement data collected from the sensors and actuators with the manufacturer's operating parameters, that most sensors and actuators operating in the vehicle are within the operating range set by the manufacturer satisfactorily.
