C.F.A. Marinho Chagas: proposta arquitetônica para um centro de formação de atletas para o ABC Futebol Clube

Abstract

A severe fire occured in 2019 at the lodging of a traditional fooball club from Brazil, Clube de Regatas Flamengo, made clear of the neglection toward youth academy athletsand pointed out, among other questions, the adequation (or not) of those facilities. Having this tragedy as initial motive, that seized the life of 10 young footballers, this graduation project consists in the elaboration of a architectural proposal for a center for formation of football athletes (best know as “youth academy” in english) with the emphasis in two major needs detected from early studies: strategies for building security and prevention of fires and the promotion of thermal comfort for the athlets. The theory study and the architectural proposal in development are intended to the ABC Futebol Clube, based in Natal/RN, proved that it is possible to achieve those goals form the observation of a series of guidelines and limited conditions, contributing for the formation of the athletes, offering the needed condintions for their professional and human development
