Resumen
The acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is still one of the great contemporary issues of global public health due to the high number of infected people. Comorbidities and immunosuppression in people living with AIDS, when hospitalized, results in a higher risk of serious hospital infections, which has led to high morbidity and mortality rates. This aspect requires professionals, especially nursing, complex care and decision-guided immediate decision on scientific evidence. Thus, this study aims to validate the contents of nursing care protocol for early detection and prevention of hospital infections for people living with AIDS. It is a methodological, transversal study, with quantitative approach, performed through two steps. The first stage of the study refers to the development of the protocol based on evidence drawn from an integrative literature review and ANVISA infection prevention measures. The second stage, content validation, resulted from the judgment of experts involved in the care, management and / or teaching. The sample was by intention, selected by analysis of lattes curriculum to adapt the system proposed by Fehring, totaling 13 experts in nursing care for people with AIDS. The operation took place by agreement between the responses obtained for the content validity index (CVI) by assessing the judges in a round. The items were valued at "adequate", "appropriate to change" and "inappropriate", based on 10 criteria: usefulness / relevance, consistency, clarity, objectivity, simplicity, applicability, current, vocabulary, accuracy and topics of instruction sequence. As a result, the review showed the nursing care to patients with AIDS who were addressed and grouped into the healthcare, educational and managerial categories. On the validation of the 13 judges who evaluated the instrument, 84.61% are female, mean age of 43 years (± 9.98) and time average experience of 17.08 years In the professional titles, 61, 54% are doctors and 38.46% masters. On the scope, 69.23% are teaching, are 38.46% and 23.08% of care management. Regarding the protocol were evaluated 20 items, 8 corresponding to the history of nursing and 12 concerning interventions for patients with AIDS. Of the 260 responses, 58.08% was evaluated as appropriate, 41.15% adequate to change and only 0.77% of the responses were inadequate. Of the 20 items present, 18 achieved complete agreement, (IVC = 1.0) and the other two items obtained IVC 0.92. The overall assessment of the instruments obtained IVC 0.99. The suggestions of the judges were related to the reformulation of the wording regarding the suitability of the vocabulary and repeated information, preparation of sentences more clearly, actions and interventions addition, inclusion and scales for assessment of pipelines. On the suggestions of the judges sought to reformulate seeking a better understanding and clarity of the items that made up the instrument aiming to make it applicable. The content of the protocol was validated, representing the initial consensus based approach for people with AIDS. The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, number CAAE 46209215.0.0000.5537.
