emancipação e questionamentos exposta no texto literário face à realidade humana,
apontar nesses períodos as cicatrizes deixadas na sociedade e propor hipóteses
dc.description.abstract | The following work proposes a reflection on the dictatorial period in South
America, based on the works K. relato de uma busca, by Bernardo Kucinski, Volto
semana que vem, by Maria Pilla and Diante da dor dos outros, by Susan Sontag,
attempting to put in evidence the formation of a collective and individual memory
(HALBWACHS, 1990 & POLLAK) starting from traumas, pains and scars
(DALCASTAGNÈ, 1996 & GAGNEBIN, 2006) caused by the military regimes in
Brazil and in Argentina. This discussion is pertinent, because at this moment the
countries of Latin America and the world as a whole – we highlight Brazil – is
passing through a period of setbacks and expansion of the fascist and undemocratic
forces. Therefore, through the dialogue between Literature and History, considering
the particularities from each area, and through Language (TODOROV, 2003 &
BENVENISTE, 1966) as an instrument of usage, employed here to establish a
relation of emancipation and questionings exposed in the literary text facing human
reality, we will point out the scars left in society in the referred periods and propose
hypotheses which lead to a kind of sociohistorical reflection. Thus, we will observe
that Literature can take a social positioning based on the elements of human actions.
In other words, we will point out the role of the Literature as a possibility of rescuing
