The current situation of the Civil Construction market has been forcing companies in this trade to seek solutions to increase their competitiveness. In this context, the monolayer system appears as an alternative to rationalize the constructive process being normalized by ABNT only on 04/26/2018 (NBR 16648: 2018). In this paper, it is evaluate the durability of monolayers produced before and after the publication of the standard NBR 16648: 2018 by means of tests of impermeability (pipe method - CSTC NIT 224: 2002) and tensile strength (NBR 15258: 2005) before and after the exposure of prototypes submitted to aging cycles, equivalent to 6 years and 3 months of natural exposure, using the "Accelerated Weather Chamber". The results of the leakproofness test by the pipe method of the plates without the presence of lumps indicated lower water absorption after the accelerated aging when compared to the plates without weathering. The 490-day-old water plaques absorption was lower than the plaques absorption at 72 and 80 days, indicating a trend of lower permeability of the decorative technical mortars over time. Agglomerated and aged plates have presented higher water absorption than plates without weathering, showing that the storage of product interferes with the permeability of the applied decorative technical mortar. It was also noted a correlation between the results obtained between the tensile strength and the leakage, and the results for the studied plates. The tensile adhesion strength of the plates with and without weathering were adequate in relation to Sinat (2016) and NBR 16648:2018 standards. No changes in shading and surface cracking were detected in the wet plates, both for the plates without and for the plates with weathering after the tests were carried out.
