Collaborative systems have become very present in daily life duo to the popularization of computers, social networks and cloud computing, which favor the development of this type of system. At the same time the computing systems become more popular , the concern with the user also increases, hence the need to seek strategies to facilitate user interaction with it. The field of Human Computer Interaction (HCI) aims to support the development of systems with high-quality use primarily high usability and high communicability. Semiotic Engineering is a theory of HCI that views the interface as a message from the designer to the user, in which he conveys his perception of who the user is, what he would do, how and why. There are two models based on Semiotic Engineering aimed to assist the designer in designing the interface: Manas and MoLIC. This work seeks to apply them in two collaborative systems and contrast the results between models and within each model, assessing which relevant results were obtained by each model, if and how they could be improved and if they couçd be combined.
