This study presents the use of GIS in spatial analysis of hotel business in the city of Belo Horizonte. For this study we used spatial autocorrelation statistics: global Moran I index and the kernel density surface. Licensing data were obtained at the hotels in the Secretaria Municipal Adjunta de Regulação Urbana (SMARU). The results indicate that hotel business presents significant agglomeration in South-Central regional, which can be explained by the form of occupation of the city, which occurred in the central area to the periphery, and the concentration of economic activities in the region is creating a center business of great importance to the county. In other administrative regions not marked positive autocorrelations were found. From this result, it was possible to understand how the spatial distribution of these hotels both in regional South-Central regional as others.
