Resumen
The intestinal stoma is used for drainage of wastewater, introduction ofmedicines, intestinal bypass or administration of diet. Its indications are provided for therapeutic treatment of malignancies, inflammatory, trauma, among others. Although it is a common construction procedure may be accompanied by many complications. The objective is to identify therapeutic interventions by health professionals to prevent and treat the complications of intestinal stoma. Methodological Procedures: The study used as methodological Practice Based on Scientific Evidence. We decided to perform an integrative review of literature. The study sample is indexed in the databases LILACS, SCIELO, and BDENF IBECS. Results and discussion: The results imply that the possible therapeutic interventions for the prevention of complications occur in two specific areas of health, nursing and medicine. The main complication is highlighted Paracolostomy hernia, and their treatments in surgery for the correction, placement of a synthetic or biological synthesis in the abdominal wall and conservative treatment given by nurses, with the use of appropriate devices and accessories. Conclusions: Althoughit is important the work of an interdisciplinary team, this was only mentioned once at the end of an article of nursing. Even the Ministry of Health recommending the creation of a team to ostomy care, these studies it appears that the action was not shared. These results allow us to infer that these data only reflect how the practice is established, showing the need for change in this field.
