A utilização do Escore de Risco de Framingham para o manejo de pacientes portadores de Hipertensão Arterial e de Diabetes Mellitus: uma revisão integrativa para subsidiar um projeto de intervenção

Arterial Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus are currently considered public health problems, and cardiovascular disease in Brazil today represent a major cause of deaths. This is a search integrative review conducted in the Virtual Health Library aims to describe the work related to the use of the Framingham Risk Score in the national literature published from 2003 to 2013 in complete scientific articles. The intention of this work is to propose the use of the Framingham Risk Score for the approach, management and monitoring of users of a Family Health Strategy. Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension and Framingham word: the descriptors were used. Was reached the following results: all the variables used by the Framingham Score, were: sex, age, smoking, diabetes, blood pressure, total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol were associated to reduced coronary risk, ie, they have risk factors increase the chances of heart attack or death from coronary heart disease in the next 10 years. The Framingham Risk Score is useful in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases by the proposal to intervene in modifiable risk factors and propose changes in lifestyle as well as being efficient way to approach the possibility of disease to ensure proper medication adherence and treatment properly said, and enable monitoring and evaluation of patients. According to the results, we can conclude that the Family Health Strategy is one of the places suitable for the monitoring and treatment of hypertension and diabetes in the risk approach, in order to establish therapeutic targets for the management and approach to these patients, aiming to reduce morbidity and mortality rates.
