dc.description.abstractThe work intends to analyze the components of the demand for flights, through the indicator RPK, in flights with origin or destinations in Brazil and to forecast this demand for the years 2018 and 2019. Based on demand data provided by ANAC, as well as of economic variables made available by the IBGE and the IMF, it was possible to develop a multiple linear regression model that allows us to infer the main variables associated with the variation in the demand for flights. From this model, it was possible to determine the possible values for the demand in the years 2018 and 2019, assisting companies and organizations related to the air sector in their future activities.
