Resumen
The present research falls within the field of analysis on the condition of LGBTQIA+ youth who attend or participate in actions and events at the Civil Society Organization Center for the Struggle for Free Sexual Orientation - (CELLOS/MG). The research problem revolved around the following question: what are the resistance-oriented strategies used by LGBTQIA+ youth who attend or participate in CELLOS/MG actions and events, aged 18-29, from their experiences and experiences in different formative spaces in the municipality of Belo Horizonte. This is a qualitative research that used the Conversation type methodology. In the first moment of the research a semi-structured questionnaire was applied to the group of young people, whose initial goal was to trace the sociocultural profile of the young participants and then to carry out the conversations, a fact that was not concluded, because the pandemic caused by Covid-19 entered a new phase causing an unprecedented conjuncture, whose LGBTQIA+ people were significantly affected. In the second moment of the research, through the Conversation type method, six young people who identified with the acronym LGBTQIA+ from the perspective of encompassing other identities that are not included in the LGBT acronym participated in the research. Participating in the conversations were: one transgender man, one lesbian woman, and four gay men. In all, there were seven meetings that took place in March and April 2021, via the Google Meet platform. Through the Conversation type method we obtained very rich learnings, because bringing together diverse identity experiences brought specificities of each one and at the same time presented challenges that bring them together and distance them in their experiences and resistances as LGBTQIA+ youth in diverse formative spaces in the city of Belo Horizonte. From the conversations, we were able to describe and understand the challenges and resistance strategies elaborated by LGBTQIA+ youth in the face of manifestations of violence and discrimination to which they are subjected, from their experiences and life paths.
