The main form of psychosis, by frequency and clinical importance, is schizophrenia. It is observed that the health condition of the schizophrenic may lead him to a gradual removal of their daily activities, because it interferes with your ability to think clearly, to deal with their emotions, make decisions and relate to others. So there is a reduction in the participation of these individuals in productive activities, leisure and self-care. Occupational Therapy, with its specificity, is focused on improving quality of life of an individual, helping him to choose, organize and conduct daily activities. Thus, the occupational therapist may have a role in treating people with schizophrenia, minimizing the effects and helping them to seek solutions to these dilemmas of everyday life. The aim of this study, therefore, is to survey and describe the interventions that have been carried out by occupational therapists with schizophrenic patients, through a literature review, to reflect on the possible contributions of occupational therapy in the treatment of that target audience.
