dc.description.abstractThe short alloys have been used to improve the tenacity of the concrete and to become it pseudo-elasticity. In this work the influence of the short shape memory nickel-titanium alloys addition is evaluated of in the concrete tenacity. This study gave for the comparative analysis of the resulted of assays of flex-traction of concrete strengthened with short alloys and long alloys before and after the application of cycles efforts.Wires of Nitinol deformed of 8% and programmed had been used to regains its original geometry in temperatures around 60ºC. The results had indicated that the shape memory alloy increases the concrete tenacity and the same effect can be used as protension if theconcrete ones will be strengthened with short alloys
