Abstract

The work in question aims to format an intervention plan against intestinal parasites in a rural community, through the formulation of strategies to decrease the damage to intellectual development in children and reduce rates of absenteeism from work activities to young adults. Intestinal parasites are one public health problem worldwide, with high prevalence and incidence. Affected populations are located in areas of low socioeconomic status and poor sanitation conditions, located mainly in developing countries. Among the complications of intestinal parasites are: iron deficiency anemia, low intellectual and laborativo income, malnutrition, chronic diarrhea.
