dc.description.abstractA teaching material proposal, presented on this paper, aims to provide students with the necessary tools to communicate successfully in real-life interactions, through the use of authentic material, having as its main purpose the practice of the four skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking, as well as to foster students‘ ability to activate their background knowledge and connect it with the new knowledge in order to create new linguistic abilities on the target language. The material consists in two units, which are separated and are not connected with each other regarding their themes; however, both of them presente meaningful and modern themes, which were carefully designed with the objective of arousing students‘ curiosity and relating their respective topics and sections with students‘ reality and day-today life.
